Please describe the project specifications
The seat had to fit into a long narrow cabinet made by the kitchen cabinet maker. To be used as formal seating on one side of the dining table
The customer wanted a custom made, formal yet comfortable bench seat with tuck n roll pleats “like an old 1930’s Chevy”
What is unique or complex about the project?
The seat back rest was over 2.5 mtrs long and keeping the tuck and roll nice and even and tight over this distance was difficult. We also wanted to make it so the pleats were even and didn’t finish on a half pleat either end.
We also wanted the pleats to lineup with the joins in the base.
