Please describe the project specifications
The client envisioned a "crystal palace" deep within the forest of a luxury resort to host 350 guests across a series of events. To bring this vision to life, we installed a 25m x 40m clear Levo Conservatory with glass walls and a 5m x 5m entrance foyer—creating a stunning, light-filled structure immersed in nature.
Our designated build area was supposed to be cleared and leveled prior to our arrival. However, when we arrived onsite, the land was neither cleared nor graded. This required us to work in tandem with the excavation crew, building directly behind them as they removed trees and leveled ground—dramatically compressing our already tight schedule.
Despite these constraints, we successfully installed the main structure, elevated flooring systems to accommodate HVAC, and all supporting back-of-house tents. A unique challenge arose when the client insisted that no back-of-house structures be visible from the main event space. By that time, many of the standard white service tents had already been erected. We pivoted quickly, replacing them all with black tents to ensure they blended into the forest backdrop.
Installation required precision and ingenuity, including the use of specialized machinery and a crane to maneuver the glass elements into place. As the tenting took shape, the design team installed mature trees and shrubs around the perimeter to create the illusion that the Conservatory had always existed within the woods.
To support the elaborate lighting and scenic elements required by the event’s design, we added an additional plywood subfloor throughout the main structure, ensuring stability for heavy equipment. The floor was engineered and reinforced to support a 56' diameter 35,000 lb. rotating stage to accommodate the events headline entertainers.
Simultaneously, on a separate area of the property, we managed the installation of another large-scale tented venue—a 25m x 60m Losberger structure—further demonstrating our team’s capacity to execute complex, multi-location builds under pressure.
