Slide on wire canopies which covers a 2,240 sq. ft. area. The canopies split at the center and total 14 independently operated canopies using all marine grade stainless steel cables & pulleys.

What is unique or complex about the project?
The imposed loads from the cables to the wall were extremely high so we had to ensure we dispersed the loads as much as possible. Given the height of the canopy and the wind exposure, we designed a magnetic bracket to keep the canopies retracted and avoid the fabric from creeping out during high winds. To ensure the canopies were easy to operate, we split them at the center, we designed a magnetic front bar so that each canopy married with the adjoining canopy when they converged at the center of the courtyard.
