Please describe the project specifications

The customer wanted a clearer view other than what he had on his existing bridge enclosure. His old enclosure had soft vinyl windows throughout which became cloudy, wrinkled and scratched which distorted his view. The customer requested us to provide new view lines and to make some of his windows panels larger with less obstruction. The purpose of this job was to provide the customer with a clear view through his bridge enclosure. This 11 Panel Bridge Enclosure has rigid windows on the front portion and soft vinyl windows on the rear. The front windows retract to the hardtop for added ventilation; maintaining the clear view throughout.

What is unique or complex about the project?

Fabricating and installing the windows at the top and bottom was challenging. The 4 panels on the backend were extremely large and with limited walkways on the boat we had to have more installers than usual and to work carefully with our limited working area. The new larger view lines allowed clear visibility on the bridge making the customer ecstatic with the results. We also added a feature where the front windows retract to the hardtop; providing the customer with added ventilation without taking away from the view with dark screens. What’s next for this “Big Fish”? Sea Dek flooring over the winter! Another happy customer!
