Please describe the project specifications

Our client wanted a custom enclosure fabricated from scratch that would provide them with an extra room on the boat during the winter, that looked great, and functioned easy for getting in and out of the cockpit. The customer also wanted the bimini top to extend over the aft seating for summer when the enclosure was not in use, but didn't want a big bulky enclosure over the aft railing. We fabricated a dodger with Marine 5 panels, and 7 panel enclosure with O'sea marine vinyl. Easy access zippers with overlapping flaps that fold back and fasten were installed at the aft entry, and port and stb locations to move forward on the boat easy.


What is unique or complex about the project?

We entered this project because it best exemplifies our fit and finish, along with custom features like the overhanging aft bimini, that many other local shops won't attempt. Careful planning of the bimini and it's mid bow were required to get proper support in the right spot for the aft panels to zip to. Window lines were maximized with clean flowing lines to match the boat. The panel split locatons were carefully chosen on the sides so the panels behind the dodger can fold back as the access zipper is used instead of rolling up the doorways.
