Please describe the project specifications

Project Description:

This hospitality structure blended seaside elegance with a premium spectator experience, spanning the full length of the beachfront arena. Elevated, covered spaces served VIPs, judges, and competitors. A custom fabric ceiling—layered, hand-tensioned arcs of printed and solid textiles—softened the modular frame while enhancing visual flow and acoustics. Soft pastels and rattan accents completed a refined, relaxed luxury aesthetic. Tiered seating integrated seamlessly with raised dining platforms and lounge zones, while clear glass railing panels preserved unobstructed views of the ring. Despite the complex beachside logistics—including sandy terrain, high winds, and close public access—the team delivered a polished venue complete with climate control, catering infrastructure, and ADA access. This project exemplifies how temporary architecture can deliver a permanent sense of place—grounded in elegance, purpose, and performance.

Uniqueness:

What set this build apart was its synthesis of structure, setting, and experience. Installed directly on the sand, the hospitality pavilion was engineered to perform under the unique conditions of a coastal equestrian competition: elevated humidity, shifting terrain, and rigorous scheduling. The tented structure’s scalloped textile ceiling—stitched and tensioned on-site—functioned as both an aesthetic statement and acoustic baffle, and creating a hushed, immersive atmosphere that felt as curated as a permanent venue. The layout balanced intimacy and visibility, with staggered dining tiers and organically zoned lounges offering full sightlines to the arena. Its oceanfront exposure demanded high-tolerance anchoring systems, creative weatherproofing, and strategic ventilation planning. Instead of relying on rigid partitions, the design embraces openness, allowing sea breeze and sunlight to enhance the sensory experience. From bespoke linens to natural wood and glass handrails, every detail reflects the event’s commitment to elegance and performance. This project proves that temporary environments can rival—and even surpass—the spatial storytelling of permanent venues.
