Please describe the project specifications

The project consists of a new seven-piece cockpit enclosure on a classic Sabre 26 sailboat. The project was intended to provide additional comfort to extend the sailing season for an early spring start and late fall end.

What is unique or complex about the project?

This seven piece cockpit enclosure was designed to add additional cooler weather comfort for both early spring and late fall. The challenge of the project was to provide a enclosure for this 1988 Sabre 36 classic (small cockpit compared to modern boats) without adding the heaviness and bulkiness of an enclosure. To accomplish this, a contrasting white fabric was used to lighten up the enclosure and seamlessly blend in or disspear as best as possible. Narrow vertical panel facing was incorporated as well as to provide maximum viewing area as well. In the interior you will find clean finishes of masked vertical and horizontal zippers and elimination of corner gaps.
