Please describe the project specifications

The owners brought us in to determine the best way to shade their custom metal pergolas. When we arrived, mismatched sails of various sizes, colors and shapes were zip tyed together. What a visual mess. Custom installed permanent heaters had melted the sails above them. They're goal was heat reduction and shade for their guests below in the Summer. Each of the 3 custom metal pergolas had a different sail size requirement. Making no assumptions on the accuracy of the pergola fabrication & welding, we measured for all 27 sails within their assigned locations. The challenge was precision detail in the custom shapes supported with great measuring and organization.

What is unique or complex about the project?

We entered this project because of the end result in shapes, symmetry, balance and color. We don't typically take on small sail projects, but the sheer volume of small specialized sails posed an interesting challenge. Our projects are typically larger sails; we enjoyed taking on something that was different and had a unique puzzle to solve.
