Please describe the project specifications

This project features the installation of two permanent cantilevered umbrellas in the interior courtyard of the Banner Casa Grande facility, providing approximately 567 square feet of shade. The design includes one 20'x20' and one 16'x16' Hypar-shaped umbrella supported by 8"x8" and 10"x10" square columns, respectively. Due to the project’s location within a fully enclosed courtyard, careful planning was required to ensure the structure could be installed with extremely limited access and without disrupting the facility’s daily operations.

The most significant challenge was the limited construction access—everything had to be transported into the courtyard through restricted pathways. Knowing these limitations in advance, the team selected the GORILLABrella cantilevered umbrella system, which allowed for modular assembly and minimized disruption. The project stands out due to how well the team adapted to the logistical constraints, successfully delivering durable and visually striking shade structures to meet the client’s request for coverage over outdoor seating areas.

The most rewarding aspect was seeing how our team overcame the strict install conditions through creative problem-solving and coordination. The finished product offers a sleek and functional solution in a space that previously lacked any shade.
