Please describe the project specifications
This massive center console enclosure consists of 8 panels. The client wanted wind and spray protection to transform this boat into a much more comfortable ride. This boat can reach speeds up to 80mpr so this customer wanted to cruise in comfort at these high speeds.
What is unique or complex about the project?
We decided to enter this project because it had many hurdles to overcome. most boats that we put enclosures on do not reach speeds of 80mph. so everything had to be reinforced to extreme measures. Stamoid open on the outside and double layers of 18oz VCP on the inside with double stitching as well. We also stepped up our zippers from the usual #10 to #12 Sippers to be sure they will hold up. There are also battens installed in pockets in the back edges of every panel to stiffen them up to keep them securely rigid in the high winds. In the front corners we added extra straps for reinforcement to make sure everything holds up when put to the test. The front two wings also have J-zippers for easy access to the bow. last but not least we added classy diamond stitching in the wings to take it to the next level.
