Please describe the project specifications

This project was a one-story steel frame structure with a flat roof and horizontal glass siding. The span included 1,350 sq. feet of interior space with additional custom exterior decking. The structure included a custom exterior header around the perimeter of the roof, vinyl flex floors, a drop ceiling, rental furniture, track lighting, A/V, custom counters and fabric graphics.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

This event structure was created for Hyundai at the 2016 Super Bowl City in San Francisco. The space was used as a marketing environment for Hyundai to show off their new hybrid vehicles. The client requested a high-end environment in a unique building. They were looking for a space beyond a typical tent; they sought a space that felt more deliberate and polished. The structure sight was on Market Street, right near the entrance of the event, therefore Hyundai would have high visibility, another reason for requesting a temporary structure of this nature and sophistication.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The temporary structure for Hyundai had an unusually fast timeframe for installation. In just four days our team was able to erect the building and build-out the custom interior. Within the four days there were restrictive start and stop times, thus lessening workable hours even further. The location also proved challenging. The site was on a busy, public cross street with high volumes of foot traffic at all hours. Overhead street cables lead to height restrictions and a fire lane on one side of the building had to be clear at all times.

What were the results of the project?

The temporary event structure for Hyundai in Super Bowl City was an obvious popular destination for fans. Foot traffic during the event was enormous and lines of people were eager to go inside. The client was thrilled with the result, both having swarms of people at all times but also because of the feedback they received about the building. Their goal to showcase products at this high profile event was met and exceeded.
