To replace the dodger with the same design as the original, keeping all of the original functionality, shape and size as they liked what came with the boat.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

Client wanted to maintain the same shape, so we custom bent new stainless frame to the same shape and size as the factory aluminum. The center window needed to unzip and roll down and the entire dodger needed to fold forward easily.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The dodger is secured to the top of the windshield with a molded in track. We attached two zips to the Keder both zipping forward to the center of the dodger to facilitate easy folding. We created an overlap to hide the three zippers forward. The opening forward window has a separating zipper at the top and the vertical zippers are continuous chain zippers secured at the bottom. We used 40 gage O'Sea Windows and matching Stamskin chafe patch aft.

What were the results of the project?

Our client was extremely pleased as we met his requests while delivering a high quality dodger. The looks and functionality are the same as the factory dodger while adding improvements, strength and quality.
