Please describe the project specifications

This project was our solution to creating an inviting, fun, and safe atmosphere to protect our clients patrons from UV rays and weather. We needed to come up with a solution for a frame that would fit exact measurements the customer had given us. If we had been even one inch off, the entire top would not have worked. It took five weeks to complete the top and frame that were hand built out of 297 total pieces. From order to completion it was worked on by a total of 10 people in our facility. Our process in creating this project is as follows: Sales to Design, Frame production to Powder coating, Engineering to Cutting, Welding to Sewing, and finally Finishing.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

Our client contacted us with the need for a large scale tent to shade and cover their brand new Oktoberfest Beer Garden feature coming to their theme park. They wanted to create a quieter, relaxed environment for their adult guests and needed a top to shade those guests and their employees. They wanted a cool, shady place that would house music, food and drink, tables, hanging light fixtures and fans, televisions and signage. They requested we create graphics to add to the top to advertise their new Beer Garden. The canvas needed to snugly fit the frame as to not blow around in the wind or get caught in any of the surrounding rides. They wanted the colors of the top and frame to be eye catching but relaxing and to match the graphics.

What is unique or complex about the project?

This project top was created solely of Vinyl. It took 48 individually cut pieces of Vinyl to create this massive top. It combines art and function and lends the client a clean, precise, quality solution that fit all of their needs. It will last the client many many years while providing protection and profitability.

What were the results of the project?

This turned out to be a beautiful piece with that extra added artist value that draws attention and generates more profit for park. The canvas protects the patrons and valuables inside, adding safety, relaxation, and giving guest a great place to catch a break.
