Please describe the project specifications

This project consists of eight motorized Corradi retractable canopy systems with protective hoods mounted to framed private patio areas. Flame-retardant, Serge Ferrari Soltis 92-2004 fabric is the fabric used on each 12' Projection by 6' Wide retractable cover, for a total coverage span of 576 square feet.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

Riviera Building & Development contracted Eide for assistance with the design-build of retractable structures at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. This freshly redesigned luxury beach front hideaway features upgraded rooms with poolside cabanas and patios with fire pits. Eide designed a flame-retardant retractable fabric roof system, engineered for 110 MPH Wind-Loads, to cover these areas.
