Yangzhou international Horticultural Expo has five core scenic spots, including the International Pavilion, China Pavilion, Opening and Closing Ceremony Pavilion, Yuanye Garden and Biyun Village forming a spatial structure of "one axis and eight areas".
The International Pavilion is located in the East Garden of the Yangzhou World Horticultural Expo. On the west and north sides of the International Pavilion are two rivers.
The length of the international pavilion is more than 250 meters, a span of more than 60 meters and a height of more than 30 meters. It covers an area of about 47,000 square meters, a building area of about 11,000 square meters, ETFE cushion covers about 15,000 square meters.
The architectural shape concept come from the finless porpoise which is a symbol of the Yangtze River's. It means everyone should have responsibility to protect and maintain biodiversity.
In order to creating different indoor optical environments, 15,000 square meters of ETFE cushion use different light transmission material included fully transparent, 46% print coverage and 63% print coverage ETFE material. Yangzhou international horticultural Expo as a public building, fire protection and ventilation are essential. Pfeifer structure equipped with more than 300 sets of ventilation and emergency fire smoke exhausting system for the whole roof. Daily ventilation can be used to improve promote indoor air circulation. In case of fire emergency, ventilation and emergency fire smoke exhausting system would open at once, and smoke can be vented quickly. These systems could greatly increases the escape time and improves the safety of personnel.
