Please describe the project specifications

The tasting room management at Twomey - Russian River Valley began inquiring about Shade Sails on their tasting room patio in 2015. Each year they would reconnect and get updated information. The project approval finally came thru, and we celebrated! They traveled to wineries close by to view other sail projects. This really helped them with their fabric and color selections. With the round patio and curved roof lines the customer was looking for something refined and graceful. They were also concerned that their "million dollar view" might be compromised. We had discussed a few design ideas over the years, so the modeling approval came quickly, and it was into engineering. Upon completion they were extremely pleased with the design, shade coverage, and the interaction of the structure with their outdoor environment. Because of the tremendous success here, shortly afterwards we began discussions for another tasting room location.


What is unique or complex about the project?

The round patio and curved undulating roof lines gave us a very unique palette upon which to place shade. The MonotecFR sand color coupled with the “glow” this fabric projects, creates sail shapes with an artistic sophistication different from our other projects.
