Please describe the project specifications

The customer wanted a full travel cover to protect his pre-WWII Chris Craft Sportsman that had just been completely restored. The goal was to cover the boat as fully as possible, to ensure that it was protected during travel while also protecting the finish from any possible rubbing by using Weathermax SG throughout the cover.

What is unique or complex about the project?

We always jump at the opportunity to work on historical boats, especially when the customer is knowledgeable about the history of the boat. The customer had spent three years restoring the boat to immaculate condition, so it was very important that we paid extremely close attention to any possible stress points or potential wear points. The front of the cover has zippered access for the trailer tied downs to go through the cover. The cover was made of Weathermax SG throughout to protect the finish of the boat. There are also secondary covers under the main cover at the front and back of the boat to further reduce the chances of the cover wearing on the boat. The customer was ecstatic with the final product. The cover fit the boat precisely and met all of his requirements for protecting his boat from road debris while traveling.
