Please describe the project specifications

The customer wanted shade and privacy over half of their swim spa pool which takes up most of the back yard. The back yard is very sheltered as it is protected from wind as it is surrounded neighbours, so it was boiling hot in the heat of summer. We cut the concrete and installed 2 posts in a very awkward spot behind the spa pool. We attached the rest of the sail back to the house and pergola to maximise the cover.
The customer wanted shade over half of the swim spa and privacy from the neighbour when enjoying the pool. They also wanted it all done and finished by Christmas as they had people coming, so the pressure was on.

What is unique or complex about the project?

It was a small backyard with awkward access. We had to get the concete cutter in behind the swim spa, then hand dig the holes, install the posts and concrete and remove all the mess while not damaging the fence or pool or making a big mess. Installing the posts on this job was a mission.
Once the posts were installed, we added three mounting points along the house to maximise the cover and measured up for the sail which was manufactured and installed a week later.
The final result looks great, no damage was done to the fence or pool and the sail gives half cover and privacy, exactly what the customer asked for.
