Please describe the project specifications
Project Description:
This unique project involved the design and construction of two 65,000 SF three-level structures for a high-profile racing event in front of the iconic Las Vegas Strip. The venue included tiered seating arrangements to accommodate thousands of spectators, with premium viewing areas and hospitality suites that offered unobstructed views the racetrack. A custom structural membrane was designed to waterproof this structure on every level. This fabric was tensioned and installed directly onto the modular deck system and was put to the test multiple times when unexpected heavy rain fell the first night of the event, which proved that the waterproofing system worked flawlessly keeping the interior areas completely dry. This experience showed that even in the desert rain and condition can play a defining role.
Uniqueness:
The grandstand's uniqueness was in its seamless integration with the vibrant atmosphere of the Las Vegas Strip and the Bellagio fountains. The tiered seating ensured optimal views for all spectators, while the premium hospitality suites offer an elevated experience with exclusive amenities. The incorporation of fabric in the design, including custom canopies and elegant seating upholstery, added a touch of sophistication and comfort. The juxtaposition of the high-speed racing circuit with the elegant Bellagio fountains created a visually stunning and dynamic environment. Advanced lighting and sound systems enhanced the overall experience, ensuring that spectators were fully immersed in the excitement of the race. This project not only met the high standards of the racing event but also adds a distinctive Las Vegas flair to the event, making it a memorable experience for all attendees.
