Please describe the project specifications

The client has a large outdoor space in their new home that needed some shading, the building was not an option for attachment so the system had to be free standing and it was a bonus if we could also shade their spa

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

"The client had moved into their new home over the last summer and realised they needed some shade so they can use their outdoor area, they also had spa off to one side that they also wanted shade coverage over so the design needed to take that into account.

The home was an upmarket place in Merivale so anything that was installed needed to be in keeping with the style of the house."

What is unique or complex about the project?

"The design needed to be free standing as attachment of the building was not an option, this posed a challenge to get posts located out of the way while still providing the shade throw required.

The tight spaces we had to work with in getting the poles in behind the space also added complexity to this job."

What were the results of the project?

"The resulting sail system, finished with powder coated black square profile posts was in keeping with the upmarket home, it provided an accurate shade throw over their outdoor seating area.
The posts were positioned out of the way as to not detract from the clients outdoor area.

The clients were very happy with the sail system installed and have since been in touch for work in other areas of their home."
