Please describe the project specifications

Client requested a brand-new banner for his building, which is the largest sign throughout the O.E.C.S region. The Banner/Sign was to be made to withstand hurricane winds and wind forced rain. Due to the size of the banner the wording was done by an Artist (Adolphous Knight), who stenciled, and hand painted the words onto the fabric with specially ordered weather resistant fabric paint. The Artwork Was done in house. The Banner is 90ft L * 7ft H with two diagonal sides 76" W * 7ft H & 43" H. In order to fabricate, transport and install this banner it was necessary to make it in 9 sections (120.38" W * 84"H).

The building is on the busiest street in the city center and had to be completed in one day (Sunday). We were not able to acquire a crane or lift and therefore transported each section packaged with bubble wrap and brown industrial paper, through the back of the building and up to the roof via different fire escapes.

All team members had to have harnesses on due to the height and high winds. The Braces for the banner were done at an angle from the top & middle of the Banner frames to the roof of the building. Welding, cutting, Grinding and painting (touch ups) had to be done on site to complete installation.
