This design included nine cable tensioned shade sails of various sizzes using all marine grade stainless steel cable assemblies.

What is unique or complex about the project?
We opted for a hyperbolic paraboloid (hypar) design to showcase the vibrant colors of the shade sails and add visual depth to the overall aesthetic. Our focus was on maintaining a consistent seam layout across all the sails. Given that this project is situated at a waterpark, we made the decision to metallize the columns before applying the powder coat to prevent oxidation. Additionally, we utilized our Trimble laser, which leverages point cloud technology. This allows us to accurately capture field conditions and superimpose our design in CAD, enabling precise determination of all connection points without the need for lift equipment.
