Please describe the project specifications

Kiku Crossing is a new construction, 100% affordable housing development in San Mateo, California, developed by the non-profit MidPen Housing. Built on what was originally two parking lots, it will include a five-story public parking garage with 525 public spaces and 164 private spaces.

Our turnkey facade cladding solution for the public parking garage created a suitable space for commissioned public art by artist Harumo Sato.

Working directly with the artist, we provided design assistance to achieve the desired look. We also provided engineering services and fabrication, using custom-applied graphics of Sato’s artwork on a 4,200-square-foot surface area of PES fabric.
