Please describe the project specifications

The residents of this high-end property called us with a common issue – they have a well-landscape pool and patio, but not enough shade to enjoy the space. Functional shade was requested over certain areas of the patio in order to create spaces that could be used extensively for swimming, outdoor cooking, and entertainment. Three custom shade sails and a vertical panel, attached to brackets at the house side and columns on the outside of the retaining wall, provide great sun protections where none was previously available.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The original patio set up faces a cliff drop off with stunning view. Due to the design of this structure much creativity and ingenuity was needed to execute the desired purpose of this unique installation. Embedded were not possible due to the site layout. Client settled on wall mounted support columns attached to the outer retaining wall.
