Please describe the project specifications
Not just a restaurant, but an elevated dining experience—Javier’s Cantina is a high-end Mexican eatery with a stunning view of the Pacific Coast. The client sought a shade solution that harmonizes with their elevated ambience, maintains the charming coastal view, and provides a break from the sun, particularly during dinner hours. The resulting design—a 9-screen motorized system made of Twitchell’s Nano 95 line—offers essential sun protection without sacrificing the ocean view, which is beloved by new and returning customers.
We have chosen to submit Javier’s Cantina to the International Achievement Award for the sheer scale of the project. At the time of the screen order, the restaurant was closed for renovation, and it had promised a stunning transformation to its guests. With 9 screens spanning 18 ft. x 12 ft., we were working on a large project under a tight deadline, and we had to make sure everything was in perfect shape in time for the restaurant reopening. The result was a timely installation that exceeded the client’s expectations; the screen system perfectly deflects unwanted heat, while displaying the picturesque view and enhancing the details of the new interior design changes.
