This design-build project by our company showcases a remarkable 5,291 Sq Ft freestanding structure, expertly crafted with 531 yards of Patio 500 by Herculite Products Inc in shade white. The client's primary objective was to create a comprehensive shading solution, providing ample shade for employees and clients alike. This was a critical differentiator for the scrap yard, as many competitors lacked shaded work areas. By achieving this goal, the client aimed to attract high-quality employees and improve working conditions, ultimately enhancing their reputation and competitiveness.

To overcome the complex site conditions, our team developed a creative solution. Due to the machinery below, we couldn't construct a single, large frame. Instead, we built the structure in multiple sections and welded it on site, pre-located the foundations, and pre-installed columns. This innovative approach allowed us to anchor the structure securely and raise it safely in sections. The project's busy highway location and high pedestrian traffic added an extra layer of complexity, requiring careful planning and execution to ensure crane placement and operation.

Overall, the most challenging aspect was the size and scope of the area not being conducive to a structure this large. Through meticulous planning and execution, we successfully delivered the client's vision, overcoming the challenges posed by the site's unique conditions. The result is a stunning structure that not only provides shade but also serves as a beacon of innovation and excellence in the scrap yard industry.
