Please describe the project specifications

The customer requested larger windows in the front so the view lines could be extended. The old enclosure had numerous gaps, so we redesigned the panels for a better fit to resolve the areas for possible leaks and areas of openings. The customer also requested bags for all the rear enclosure panels for storage. This project consisted of redesigning the front enclosure and the rear camper panels on this 560 Cruisers Yacht. The front two driver windows were built with a rigid polycarbonate to provide maximum visibility. We also added upper screen vents on the two front window panels and on the two large side curtain windows. The rear enclosure windows were made larger for a better view and we also built screens into 4 of the panels for maximum ventilation.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The front windows were extremely large and were definitely a challenge to handle for our sewing department. The two large side curtains on the front enclosure had zip-out screens so that the captain of the boat could easily tip people at the fuel dock without having to exit his boat; a concept we can advertise for other boaters! The customer on this job was very happy with the work we completed. We were given a deadline over the winter months to fabricate this project to have it ready for Spring launch. This upcoming Winter season we were contracted again to do the upholstery work in the cockpit of the boat. We love to keep these Cruisers cruising!
