Please describe the project specifications

A small but complicated project to cover these custom dock boarding steps. This project is being submitted to showcase the technique of shaping cover to fit the intricate design of the steps. Looking closely you will see each step tread extends an inch or so past the riser. Complicating the cover further is the angled shape back with extended top riser and attached protruding cleats. The cover has been fitted to conform to the shape of each step and back creating a tailored custom look and prevent the cover from blowing off in high winds or bad weather. A vertical zipper runs on the back end of the steps for ease of putting on and taking off. The interior of the zipper is covered with a soft protective fabric to prevent any scratching against the varnish finish.

I will address the elephant in the room, yes, water will sit on the top of each step. The design was by request and the client was advised this would occur and presented with a design that would prevent this from occurring.
