Project Description

For the Miami 2026 Auto Race Start/Finish Line Suites, this multi-level structure was redesigned and engineered to maximize every available inch of a uniquely shaped site. Rather than dividing the footprint into separate structures, the design tapered seamlessly from 66 feet wide to 50 feet and ultimately 32 feet, using custom connections and custom roof fabric to create one continuous structure. The roof incorporated six-foot extensions to help protect the hospitality areas from rain and was designed to fully cover the stairwells, providing additional weather protection for guests. Through close coordination between design, engineering, fabrication, and installation teams, the completed structure maximized usable space while creating a cohesive multi-level hospitality environment.

Uniqueness

The irregular site footprint required a custom structural approach that could adapt to three different widths while maintaining the appearance and performance of one continuous structure. Custom connections and specially fabricated roof membranes allowed the structure to transition seamlessly from 66 feet to 50 feet and then 32 feet without separating the hospitality areas into individual builds. Six-foot roof extensions and covered stairwells were also integrated directly into the design to provide greater protection from rain. The result maximized the limited site footprint while maintaining a unified roofline, efficient guest circulation, and a cohesive architectural presence.
