Please describe the project specifications
Working alongside an architect our company was hired to provide 7 slide on wire shades to cover the existing seating area of a restaurant in New York. The architect stated that sun/glare/UV and heat protection was the requirement/main goal for the project thus the recommendation was to use slide-on wire shades.
Due to the projection at 37’6”, four of the units required custom-made stainless steel guidewire was used along with heavy-duty commercial grade stainless steel components.
The client chose to operate the shades using the optional pulley system for each unit.
What is unique or complex about the project?
This project was a challenge due to the large projection requirement. Our NY licensed structural engineer/professional engineer (SE/PE) completed the calculations to allow the product to function correctly and last for many years.
The main goal of our company is to protect the public from cancer-causing, damaging UV rays and this was accomplished for all restaurant patrons and employees.
According to the architect both customers and the staff are "happy, happy, happy".
