Please describe the project specifications

This project was the fabrication of a dodger, a Bimini, and full rigid enclosure on a new Jeanneau 440 Sun Odyssey sailboat. The project was aimed at fabrication of an enclosure that was superior to the "stock" items that could be acquired from the manufacturer. Customer had acquired this boat from a local retailer of Jeanneau.
After seeing a pre built "stock" enclosure that Jeanneau offers on another 440 sun odyssey, the customer decided they wanted a far more superior enclosure manufactured with better quality materials, and a design to accommodate for the "walk around" featured deck offered on this vessel.

What is unique or complex about the project?

What led us to enter this project was that this boat had no existing canvas or enclosure hardware. It was our first large scale project designed and built entirely from the ground up. From the stainless frames, to the canvas and clears, this project was though out to accommodate and accentuate the features of this new model boat. This enclosure utilizes rigid polycarbonate all around, and is designed so that no panel need be removed to access the vessels forward deck while aboard. This is a key feature of the "walk around cockpit" on this jeanneau.

What sets this project apart from other we did this past year was the fact that, we designed the curves, lines, and details from top to bottom with no existing hardware. This also allowed us to create an enclosure that not only functioned to the enhance the boats main features, it allowed us to create an enclosure that is perfectly symmetrical from port to starboard.
