Please describe the project specifications

The goal of the project was protect the boat owner’s upholstery throughout his center console powerboat. The customer did not want a full cover as this boat sits on a hoist in Florida during the season. He wanted something simple and easy take on and off. We fabricated individual covers throughout his entire cockpit to protect his investment.

The unique part of this project is that the boat owner is able to use his boat, and still keep majority of his covers on while the boat is in use. We used snaps as the main attachment point on the outside of the boat, and we used stay-put bungees fasteners on the inside of the boat so it would have ease for installation and removal. This project consisted of (8 Individual Covers) 2 Engine Covers, 1 Helm seat Cover, 1 Console Cover, 1 Sun Bed Cover, and 1 Stern Combing Pad Cover, and 1 Large Combing Pad and Front Bow Seating Cover.

What is unique or complex about the project?

Who would have thought that this project would have used 42 Yards of 60” Sunbrella Fabric to complete! That is what it took to finish this project with all of these individual covers. The main combing pad and front bow seating cover alone was 55 Feet in overall length, and we fabricated it all into one individual cover for ease of installation and to provide a very clean look.

What sets us apart from our other projects or other canvas covers you might see on a center console from factory is the custom design and thought process that went into the fabrication of these covers. Everything is form fitted and custom to the boat. When we look at projects like this, we want to explore every avenue of uniqueness of our craft to provide the customer a one-of-a-kind item.

The client was very please with this job. After we finished this project, he hired us a few weeks later to install a custom Sea Dek Marine Products floor throughout the entire cockpit and transom platform.
