Please describe the project specifications

The government needs a new venue to realize the National Congress and Contest of "Charreria" -Mexican Rodeo- and this new venue requires of an special design that gives the chance to change the amount of spectators according the event with a capacity that comes from 7,000 to 10,000 spectators.


What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The client ask a lightweight roof, easy to install because the time-frame for the construction was very tight and we propose a frame supported structure that was assembled in pieces on site to make easier the coordination with other specialties.


What is unique or complex about the project?

The design take us to obtain a very low amount of steel for the project making a lightweight structure for the size of the building, the construction have been made in 3 shifts during the installation that takes only 6 weeks for total amount of steel and membrane.


What were the results of the project?

The space is wonderful and comfortable with good thermal capabilities and nice luminescence, making the space easy and enjoyable for the spectators.
