Please describe the project specifications

Unique tear drop shaped decorative domes on top of 2 stair cases for a 2-level retail strip mall. Both domes are 13’ 10” tall x 16’ 4 ¾” diameter at their widest points. Aluminum staple frames are 1”x2” and attached together using 14# sheet metal screws and were fabricated in four sections. Four different color Awnmax fabrics on both domes consisted of a triangular pattern of dark blue, corporate red, dark green and yellow. Both domes were attached to existing structures on the property.


What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The client wanted something unique and colorful to stand out above and beyond street level for their customers to easily locate them. It has become a trademark for their business.


What is unique or complex about the project?

The sheer size, unique shape and use of bright colors in a triangular pattern
makes these structures prominent for the business in a small-town setting.


What were the results of the project?

The client is very pleased with the striking artistic design which has helped brand and identify their business.
