Please describe the project specifications

This is a custom fabric canopy 40’-0” wide x 14’-3” projection that was designed for the residence of a client. Large structural members were used for the perimeter of the awning with inner framing to support the fabric.

The client was updating their pool/patio area. Previously the space had a wooden pergola, that the client wanted to replace with something different. They wanted something that would complement the architecture of their home and with clean sleek lines. Outdoor dining, entertaining and exercise are a daily part of their life, so the client wanted a canopy that would create this type of space for them. They also asked to keep the area below nice and bright, so that influenced the selection of the fabric.

What is unique or complex about the project?

We selected this project to enter because it came out so well. The new canopy fulfilled the client's need and creating the space they were looking for. The clean sleek design of this structure has been one that we have shown to many of our other clients and they just love it and want it for themselves. This style is a hybrid of taking technology for Aluminum Canopies and combining it with technology for fabric canopies. The result is outdoor living that is elegant. This canopy design works so well with our fabric industry. The client now has the outdoor living space that they use for dining, entertaining and relaxation throughout the year. Maintenance is easy and the structure is designed for easy removal of the fabric in the event of hurricane force winds.
