Please describe the project specifications

This ratchet strap cover was designed to be a storage and travel cover. The customer requested that the cover keeps the boat clean, and be installed and removed smoothly and efficiently by one person. We used a lightweight material, so that the cover could be installed and removed by one person. After the project was completed, the customer was absolutely ecstatic. He timed his own install at 9 minutes. His cover was so beautiful that two of his neighbors came to buy covers as well. The cover is also compliant with the customer's Homeowners Association laws, which the customer which made the customer very happy.

What is unique or complex about the project?

This was a beautiful, large boat. We created a large, single piece cover designed to completely cover the boat over the hard top. There was a light antenna that protrudes out the top that we had to create a 3 piece collar with inner and outer flaps to go around. This cover was complex because we wanted to create a very clean, good-looking cover that was not an eyesore in front of the customer's multi-million dollar house. We also had to have two opposing ratchets, hooked to webbing harness, to create even tension throughout the cover.
