Please describe the project specifications

The customer wanted an aft shade, a sunfly, and a cockpit cover. This was a challenge but we were smart enough to figure it out. The main portion of the top is on a single bow with a cantilever brace from above. This wraps around the bow with a zipper pocket. We attached costa track to the flybridge and have an access cut out for the flybridge ladder, which comes through the top. The cockpit cover simply zips to the flap of the aft shade and gets pulled down to the transom with DOT snaps. For the sunfly mode, the bottom of the cockpit cover gets unzipped removing 3 feet from the length. The sunfly is deployed out to two custom welded 6 foot support poles that get placed in the fishing rod holders. The cover is pulled tight when clipped to the support pole with a cord and a jam cleat.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The main portion of the top had to be custom fitted with cut outs for the welded hinges on top of the bow for the cantilever support. The top can collapse upward by pulling the brace up to the flybridge with a rope from the center, which is a neat feature. The aft shade and cockpit covers can easily be removed from the zipper on the flap.
