Please describe the project specifications

A fully floored 15Mx30M Losberger structure for dining & dancing w/ an open 16'x50' open front porch connected to a 52'x52' floored deck erected over a swimming pool with a 15Mx15M structure held on a rain plan. We installed an integral dormer to facilitate the connection, and to create an elegant entry foyer for the dining tent. There was a floored 40'x70' Navi-Trac for the ceremony and numerous BOH tents for catering, staff, green room and restrooms.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The client requested that we create a temporary environment to cover their daughters wedding and reception being held at their home and they wanted it to appear to be an extension of their house. They wanted the ceremony to take place on a narrow promontory overlooking the water.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The ground was extremely rocky and uneven and included an infinity pool which needed to be covered in order to accommodate the guests for all of the functions. We built leveled flooring and connectors throughout. We included a front porch with access to the water.
The access to the property was extremely limited and we had to hand carry everything through the narrow walk ways leading into the rear yard. We were not able to utilize any material handling equipment or lifts. Everything needed to be done manually.
They approved our design with the condition that the cocktail tent over the pool and connecting canopy to the dinner tent would only be erected in the event of rain. We used clear plexiglass railings to maximize the views of the waterfront.
The designer requested a pickled cedar floor covering rather than standard event carpet or flooring to give the entire event a more beachside feel.

What were the results of the project?

The results were a stunning realization of the brides dream for her wedding. The parents of the bride as well as the designer, event planner and decorator were ecstatic that we were able to achieve their dream under such difficult conditions and circumstances.
