Please describe the project specifications

The pros of the international Beach Volleyball Major Series met in Vienna, Capital of Austria, in August 2018. Our client needed special constructions for VIP hospitality, vending and catering on the Danube Island in the heart of Vienna. Danube Island is the perfect location for such a Beach Volleyball event. The fans experienced the sport of the extra class and were able to celebrate their stars after the final ball change in a very special atmosphere in the exclusive party venues.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

In order to offer fans and VIP guests the most comfortable areas, we installed a 1,500 sqm double storey construction on behalf of our client. The special 30 m x 50 m event hall received a large covered terrace, galleries inside and an impressive balcony, which invited to eat, and relax at the best island view. Nearby, further exclusive event halls and vending tents on 2,200 sqm of space invited guests to linger, shop and enjoy. Docked directly to the beach volleyball stadium, the tent ensemble provided short distances between catering and sports events.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The biggest challenge of this project was the laying of the terrace. On site there were trees, which had to be integrated in our floor. Also there was the huge amount of trucks, which had to be managed on the small area of the site.
With our special event halls, the organizers and event agencies receive temporary locations that provide gigantic space and at the same time appear very elegant. The constructions are clear span and do not have any visible blocking posts. Its modular design allows an almost limitless creativity in the individual adaptation to the local conditions and the occasion of the respective event. In addition, the flexible construction allows the creation of terraces and galleries and separate areas for entrance, foyer, stage and gastronomy. The individuality of these hall systems is topped up by the use of our innovative façade cladding, which simultaneously presents the brand or event message in a large format.

What were the results of the project?

Our exclusive constructions formed an impressive party location on the Danube Island in the heart of Vienna: "Great layout of the event hall, on both floors and the galleries and balconies", "Lots of very nice and comfortable places to eat and chill", "An amazing little town in the middle of our Danube island" - These were just some of the statements of the spectators and fans.
The client was very satisfied with our hall design and our service: already in 2017 we were able to equip three tournaments of the Beach Volleyball Major Series with event halls and tents. And also in the future we will be back: At the beginning of July 2019, the fans will experience the Beach Volleyball World Championships in our halls and tents in Hamburg, Germany. In August 2019, once more our exclusive constructions will form an impressive party location on the Danube Island at the Vienna Majors.
