Please describe the project specifications

A single storey Manhattan structure comprised of 4,036 sq. feet of interior space to be used as exhibition structure at a Construction convention.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The objective was to provide Link-Belt Cranes with a high-end trade show structure that would showcase their Global Brand during the exhibition. As an industry leader they wanted to create a ‘wow’ factor for visitors and requested a bold clean looking structure that complimented the crane equipment, with a mix of glass and solid walling to minimise the Nevada heat.

Conexpo took place from 7th – 11th March in Las Vegas, USA and is held every 3 years. The main Global trade show for purchasing Construction assets for major infrastructure projects attracts over 2,800 exhibitors.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The temporary exhibition structure needed to be able to easily install a second level or internal loft space should this be needed for future exhibitions or events. Unique keystone uprights were manufactured so that the structure and cladding components achieved a 4.00m eave height.

What were the results of the project?

The structure was manufactured and installed within 8 weeks. HTS worked directly with the customer to manufacture and build to their exact requirements. Materials used for the project were Mehler Grey vinyl roofs, Black Mehler Attica signage, HTS Avante-Garde Glass and sandwich panel walling system. Link-Belt Cranes were told by many customers the single storey Manhattan exhibition structure was the most impressive of the entire show.
