Please describe the project specifications

Provide our client with an updated dodger including design and materials. Add Side grab rails for easy boarding without touching the fabric of the dodger.

What was the purpose of this project? What did the client request?

The original dodger was 15 years old and was well worn. The design was a standard dodger top with 5 windows. We designed a 3 window dodger with the middle window being removable. This design took away the front corner zippers which provided a fabric line that blocked the view.

What is unique or complex about the project?

The Hybrid design. A mix of a California style dodger and a Traditional dodger. The original frames were used for this design. We designed the front port side window with a dip in the view line at the bottom to allow the sun's rays to hit a solar vent.

What were the results of the project?

A dodger with a different look than most Catalina sailboats. The Hybrid design changed the view view forward and the .080 Acrylic Ez2cy windows provides the super clear and easy to care for dodger. Side grab rails were added for a secure grip boarding the boat or just going forward. Our customer told us he felt like he just bought a new boat.
